Just as one would expect from its trendy location overlooking Amsterdam's famous Vondel Park and adjacent to some of Amsterdam's most chic boutiques; shops and restaurants. Amsterdam is a lively; bustling city; the centre of which is just the right size to be able to explore on foot or on one of the many bicycles that can be hired; cycling is a Dutch national past time. There are a number of museums worth a visit; Rijksmuseum is the country's top art museum and the place to go to see old masters. The nearby Van Gogh museum houses nearly 200 of the artist's paintings. The most famous building in Amsterdam is Anne Frankhuis which attracts attracts over half a million tourists each year; it was here that Anne Frank wrote her famous diaries whilst hiding during the Second World War. A boat trip on the many canals is a good way to see Amsterdam and it is from here that you can really appreciate how picturesque the city is; with its tall; narrow houses houses; imposing arched bridges and the fabulous boathouses which line the canals. Guests can enjoy a buffet breakfast which is served until 11:00; giving the perfect start to the day. A cosy Art Deco bar serves a full range of beverages and a light meal. In good weather it is possible to eat breakfast; or enjoy a snack or a drink in the hotel's roof terrace garden which provides beautiful views over the city. Breakfast is included in our rate.
