A warm welcome awaits you at the Best Western Ewington Hotel. This privately-owned hotel elegantly combines comfort and historic charm with beautiful and tranquil views over Queens Park.

Glasgow is Scotland's second city and is home to some of the finest Victorian architecture in the British Isles including the restored Merchant Quay and George Square. Older buildings in the city include Glasgow Cathedral; a fine example of a 13th century church. The Tenement House Museum presents a perfect picture of life in the city during the first part of the 20th century. Untouched since 1911; the museum is a time capsule of social history. One of Glasgow's most famous sons is the architect Charles Rennie Mackintosh and visitors to the city can enjoy afternoon tea in the Willow Tea Room which he designed in the early 1900s and a tour around the Glasgow School of Art which still looks as wonderful today as it did in 1909. There are also many art galleries in the city including the Hunterian and the world-famous Burrell Collection.

The hotel's delightful award winning restaurant is popular with both hotel guests and local residents and is open for breakfast; lunch and dinner. A wide range of wines are available from the hotel's cellar. Adjacent to the restaurant is Minstrels Bar; a comfortable watering hole where snacks are available throughout the day together with traditional afternoon teas; coffees and pastries.

The Ewington Hotel looks out over Queen Park which was constructed in memory of Mary Queen of Scots on the site of the famous Battle of Langside in 1568. The hotel is a short rail journey from the heart of Glasgow and only fifteen minutes by car from Glasgow International Airport.

The Ewington hotel boasts 45 individually designed bedrooms; many of which offer splendid views over the historic Queens Park. Ranging from king size suites to Chinese four poster rooms; all rooms are decorated and furnished in keeping with the Victorian character of the building. The bedrooms have all the modern comforts you would expect; including en-suite bathroom; satellite TV; radio; direct dial telephone; trouser press; hair dryer; tea and coffee facilities; mini bars and 24 hour room service. All rooms feature modem points suitable for most standard laptop modems. The hotel offers a selection of conference suites which can cater from 2 to 100 guests. Each of the suites is tastefully decorated and has the benefit of natural daylight and black-out facilities. A full range of audio visual equipment is available together with secretarial and interpreting services; video; fax and internet links.
