Sneem is an ideal base from which to tour the Ring of Kerry or the rugged Ring of Beara; just on the other side of Kenmare Bay. A short drive away is the heritage town of Kenmare. Well known for its gourmet food the town is filled with restaurants; pubs and hotels offering a high stanadard of food and accommodation. The beautiful scenery of the Killarney National Park and Lakes are within easy driving distance of Sneem and the Dingle Peninsula with its fabulous sandy beaches and quaint towns is a must for all visitors. Parknasilla provides elegant dining surroundings and fine food; complemented by an extensive wine list; in the Pygmalion Restaurant and there is also a cocktail bar. The Pygmalion restaurant is open from 8.30am - 10.30am for breakfast. Dinner is served from 7.00pm - 9.00pm; dress code for dinner is smart/casual and children under the age of 7 years can dine with adults until 7.45pm only; children's teas are served from 5.00pm to 6.00pm. Parknasilla is set in 300 acres of grounds overlooking the Atlantic Ocean in County Kerry in the South-West of Ireland. A wide range of sporting facilities can be arranged through the hotel including windsurfing; inshore and deep sea fishing; pleasure cruises on the Parknasilla Princess; clay pigeon shooting and archery; bicycle hire and horse riding. There are a 84 rooms at Parknasilla; each with its own distinctive style. Guests can choose from a range of standard and superior rooms; suites and mini suites. Each room is equipped with private bathroom; radio; multichannel TV; trouser press; hairdryer and tea and coffee making facilities. Lesiure facilities at the hotel include indoor heated swimming pool; steam room; sauna and Jacuzzi. There is also an outdoor Canadian hot tub and tennis courts. Massage and aromatherapy treatments are available by prior arrangement at reception. During the high season; guests also have access to a private 9 hole golf course. Parknasilla has an impressive wealth of conference amenities. The Derryquin Suite is the largest meeting room at Parknasilla. It can cater for up to 60 delegates and can also be sub-divided. The Centenary Library was built in 1995 to mark the centenary of the hotel. Opulently decorated; it is the perfect setting for a prestigious board meeting.
