The Residenza del Duca is a small hotel located in an ancient noble palace of the XVI century built on a Medieval construction and now restored with a skilful work. All the rooms have been tiled with majolica from Vietri, whose original drawings have been studied and reproduced by a local pottery painter. The rooms are furnished with well-finished pieces accurately chosen according to the style of the palace. The XVII century chestnut wood beaming ceiling and XVIII century cloister and vaulted ceiling have been revived thanks to the accurate restoration work made by a craftsman of our Costiera. La Residenza del Duca è un piccolo albergo derivante dalla certosina ristrutturazione di una parte di un antico Palazzo gentilizio del XVI secolo su base di epoca medioevale. Tutte le camere sono state piastrellate con maioliche vietresi riprodotte su modelli originali da un sapiente ceramista locale. I mobili sono tutti rigorosamente in stile, con eleganti finiture. Le volte "a padiglione" e a "schifo" del seicento e le travi di castagno del settecento sono rinate attraverso l’abile restauro di un artigiano della Costiera. Der alte Palast, wo "La Residenza del Duca" - nämlich "Die Residenz des Herzogs" - ist, war est im Jahre 954 ein Teil eines sogenannten "hospitium domorum", das heißt, eines architektonischen Gebäudekomplexes, der eine palastartige Struktur vorwies und einmal einer einzigen adligen Familie gehörte. "La Residenza del Duca" ist ein kleines Hotel, erhalten nach einer gewissenhaften Renovierung von einem Teil eines alten adligen Palastes des 16. Jahrhunderts, dessen Grundbau aus dem Mittelalter ist. In allen Zimmern ist der Fußboden mit Vietri - Majolikakacheln belegt, die ein geschickter Keramiker unserer Gegend von originalen Stücken reproduziert hat. Alle Möbel sind stilgerecht und weisen elegante Feinbearbeitungen auf. Die Schönheit der Kloster - und Spiegelgewölbe aus dem 17. Jahrhundert und der Balkendecken aus Kastanienholz aus dem 18. Jahrhundert blüht wieder auf, dank der tüchtigen Restaurierung eines Handwerkers aus der Amalfi - Küste. | ||
