Attached to it there is a small church of the XVIII th century, considered of great historical and architectural importance by the Ministry for Arts and Culture. Completely renovated and elegantly furnished, it is surrounded by a natural environment of great charm, typical oth the green Umbrian hills. The Castle consists of 24 comfortable rooms, each one different from the other, both in furnishing and spatial arrangement; 2 apartments with double private facilities are also available Junior suite and standard rooms. From all the rooms, there is a wonderful view onto the countryside where one can smell the fresh dewy air or listen to the twittering of the birds; at the same time, one may enjoy an extraordinary panorama of the vast Umbrian valley, extending views from the Basilica of St. Francis to the Albomoziana Fortress of Assisi and from the Park of Mount Subasio to Perugia. The Country House welcome its guests in a great warm atmosphere, typical of a private residence and ideal for an enjoyable and relaxing stay in harmony with nature. The restaurant offers a wide range of local dishes, prepared with the special touch of the antique Umbrian tradition. Guests can use the sports facilies offered: a tennis court, a swimming-pool, mountain bike tracks, and at a short distance away, a horse-back riding area. The Country House is also highly recommended for meetings, seminars, conventions, weddings and special events because of its spacious halls, located on the main floor. In un assolato e quieto pianoro a seicento metri sul livello del mare e a quattro chilometri da Assisi, si trova il Castello di Petrata, un'antica costruzione del 1300, con annessa una chiesetta de 1700, ritenuta dal Ministero dei Beni Culturali di valenza storica-architettonica. Completamente ristrutturato ed elegantemente arredato è circondato da un contesto naturale di grande fascino, proprio della collina Umbra. Il Castello dispone di 24 confortevoli camere, ogniuna delle quali presenta caratteristiche diverse sia nell'arredamento che nella organizzazione spaziale; sono presenti 2 appartamenti con doppio bagno, Junior suite e camere standard. Da tutte le camere si può spalancare una finestra sulla campagna e sentire il fresco della rugiada o il cinguettio degli uccelli; nel contempo si puo' godere di uno straordinario panorama che spazia dalla Basilica di San Francesco alla Rocca Albornoziana, dal Parco del Monte Subasio alla vallata Umbra e a Perugia. La Country House accoglie gli ospiti con il calore di una residenza privata, per un soggiorno di particolare armonia con la natura. Nel ristorante si possono gustare i piatti tipici dell'antica tradizione Umbra. Per lo sport sono a disposizione degli ospiti, un campo da tennis, poiscina, mountain bike e a pochi km di distanza un maneggio convenzionato.
